SYNOPSIS:
A single-camera, streaming dramedy series about two friends who are just trying to navigate the world of dating, friendship, and work woes-all in the digital age. Think a millennial take on "Will & Grace" with a quirkier, Chicago vibe.

We are looking to start shooting the pilot and/or teasers in Late July/Early August. Production will be around the actors schedules, and will be discussed at more length during the casting process. If you have conflicts, please include those specific dates in your email. We are aiming to shoot the entire first season before November. Authentic and diverse casting is a must for us. We STRONGLY encourage submissions to any role that you identify with despite what "traditional casting" may look like. We encourage performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, to submit. This is just the initial casting phase, but we will be looking to cast many more roles in the near future, so feel free to submit now, and we will keep you in mind for future roles!

About Late Bloomers: We are a new Chicago based production company (our LLC is still in the works), and we are really looking forward to jumping into our inaugural production of a new LQBTQAI+ Web Series. We are looking for fellow actors, directors, and collaborators to join in on this passion project.

Brian - 4 episodes
27 - Identifies as He/Him/His. Open Ethnicity. Emotionally stunted, classic type-A gay who also needs to get his life together. Identifies as gay. Looking to cast this role from within the LQBTQAI+ community.

Leia - 4 episodes
21ish - Identifies as She/Her/Hers (CAN identify as They/Them/Theirs). Non-Caucasian Preferred. Young, eager-beaver intern working for Brian at BuzzCloud.

Devon - 4 episodes
Mid/late 20s - Identifies as They/Them/Theirs. Non-Caucasian Preferred. Artsy, gender non-conforming gay who Brian and Callie are barely cool enough to know. Looking to cast this role from within the LBGTQAI+ community.

Vic - [CAST] 3 episodes
Early 40s - Identifies as He/Him/His. The frantic Editor-in-Chief of BuzzCloud.

Jake - 1 episode
Early 30s - Identifies as He/Him/His. Open Ethnicity. Wealthy, well dressed, well groomed, "Finance Bro", not looking to commit to anything other than a regular booty call type. Callie's on again off again "boyfriend" aka "He Who Shall Not Be Named".

Karen - 2 episodes
Late 20s / early 30s - Identifies as She/Her/Hers. Open Ethnicity. Brian's fellow associate features editor, a type-A, hyperactive socialite type, who moved to Chicago to try and live out her Carrie Bradshaw big city dreams.

Tony - 2 episodes
30s - Identifies as He/Him/His. Open Ethnicity. Douchey sports editor at BuzzCloud.

Female Editor- 1-2 Episodes
Open age - Identifies as She/Her/Hers or They/Them/Theirs. Open Ethnicity. Coworker to Brian. Comes off as a 100% morning person and is combination of overcaffeinated, manic, and passionate- also a BIG fan of America's Next Top Model.

Late 20's- Early 30's - Identifies as He/Him/His. Open Ethnicity. Celebrating his engagement to Maggie. Friends with Brian and Callie since middle school. VERY affectionate and happy while drinking/celebrating.

Maggie- 1 Episode
Late 20's- Early 30's - Identifies as She/Her/Hers. Open Ethnicity. Celebrating her engagement to Tim (and most importantly her brand new ring). Non-speaking role.

Rachel- 1 Episode
27- Identifies as She/Her/Hers. Open Ethnicity. Suburbanite. Also went to school with Brian, Callie, and Tim. Now she is married and is more concerned about school districts, and home remodeling, than going out. Self-proclaimed "fuddy duddy".

Male Party Goer- 1 Episode
Late 20's- Identifies as He/Him/His. Open Ethnicity. THAT guy that can and will jump into any conversation with anyone at a party.

EPISODE 2:

We will also be accepting submissions for these roles for Episode 2. Please send an email with your headshot and resume with the role/roles you are interested in. We will not be sending out any initial sides for these roles at this time.

Paul - 1 episode
20s-30s- Identifies as He/Him/His. Open Ethnicity. Nice, midwestern guy that Brian goes on a date with.

Unnamed Tasker Customer - 1 episode
30s- Identifies as She/Her/Hers. Open Ethnicity. Hires Callie off the Tasker app to hang photos up in her home.

Unnamed Tasker Customer #2 - 1 episode
Single dad, 30s, Open ethnicity. Absent minded dummy who hires Callie to watch his kid.
