Description:

45 Plays for 45 Presidents is a Neofuturist show comprising of a short play for every US president. These plays vary from a full musical number, to a silent play with only posters, to a vaudeville comedy. There are shows that pack an emotional punch, as well as those that give us cathartic laughter. We want to remind everyone about how these presidents have affected our history, and push people to go out and vote this, and every election season.

Seeking:
A total of six actors. Each actor is assigned multiple presidents to play. Actors will also play supporting roles within each play (ie. Parents and wives of the presidents).

One role requires guitar and/or piano (intermediate level).

All roles require voice/movement/dance ability- but above all, a willingness to play.

Auditions will be held at Performing Arts Studio (630 W. Webster Ave. 1-E Chicago, IL. 60614)

Auditions are Tuesday July 9th from 7pm-11:30pm. A dance/movement callback will be held on Saturday July 13th from 3pm-7pm (invite only).

Time Commitment:
First rehearsal is Saturday April 18th, 2020. Opening is Saturday May 23rd, 2020.

Material To Prepare:
Please prepare a 16 bar cut of any song (yes, even "Happy Birthday!"). Please also prepare a 1 minute performance. This can be a monologue, poem, movement piece, etc. We want to see your creativity.
