The Walnut Street Theatre is seeking submissions from local non-union actors for understudies for the Mainstage Production of MAMMA MIA!, directed by Richard Stafford. This is a co-production with the Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL, therefore, understudy rehearsals will begin after the production has begun performances at the Walnut. Performances for the Walnut’s run begin on May 15th, 2018, and the show will have its final performance on July 15th, 2018.
UNDERSTUDIES:
- Are “On Call” as an Understudy for a specific role in the cast and must be in town for the duration of the run.
- Required final dress rehearsal and 6 Understudy rehearsals - Wednesday/Friday afternoons during show's run.
- Rate: $25/week from the show's first rehearsal throughout the run - additional fee if performed as an understudy.
- Free Theatre School Class and EMC Points.
SEEKING- Understudies for the following roles:
HARRY BRIGHT- (Bari-Tenor) 40s. A British financier who may be Sophie’s father. Strong actor who sings.
BILL AUSTIN- (Baritone) 40s. A travel writer who may also be Sophie’s father. Strong comedic timing.
