The "UPTOWN" is a musical stage play that tells the story of the rise and fall of Philadelphia's legendary Uptown theater. The plays takes place in present day as well as the 1950's and 1960's. The story is being told by a fictional character named Peppy Jones, who had worked at the theater from the day it opened until the day it closed. Peppy is being interviewed by Alex Braxton and news reporter who must earn her way back into her boss's good graces after she screwed up her last story.
