Theatre Momentum is holding auditions for our upcoming production, Porch Play, an instant drama in one act, on Saturday, August 17th and Wednesday, August 21st. We are seeking to cast 10-12 total players.

Come join the ONLY theatre in Chicago dedicated to dramatic improvisation!

Porch Play is an instant drama in one act. The performance will consist of one singular real-time scene played out in a single location. Improv actors are instant playwrights, and this production draws on that skill to create complex interweaving lives and storytelling with depth and honesty. Elements of comedy and drama are folded into the story in equal measure.

Auditions will be held 12-3 PM on Saturday, August 17th and 7-10 PM on Wednesday, August 21st. Auditioners are expected to remain the entire audition time, so please plan accordingly.

Time Commitment:
All rehearsals will be on Wednesday nights, August 28-October 16, 7:00-9:30 PM.

Performances will be 8:30 PM on Friday and Saturday nights, October 18-December 7 (no shows on 10/25, 10/26, 11/29, 11/30)

All auditions and performances will take place at Pendulum Space, 1803 W. Byron St, Suite 216.

If you foresee any conflicts with the performance schedule, email us and let us know. Some off-nights will be scheduled for all performers. If you cannot attend every rehearsal, please let us know that as well.
