Description:
Seeking: FATHER UNDERSTUDY, 40s-60's, baritone, was raised to never show emotion (also portrays DOCTOR TWO).
The Jeff-recommended production ALL THAT HE WAS is looking to round out its team with an Understudy for the role of The Father. Must be a strong Baritone singer and believably play late 40's-early 60's. The show runs Thursdays-Sundays until September 8. Auditions will be by appointment only. Location and time of auditions is TBD.
ALL THAT HE WAS is a brand-new version of the award-winning 1993 AIDS-era musical, written by Cindy O'Connor and Larry Todd Cousineau (the writers of the 2018 Best New Musical Jeff-Award-nominee Flies! The Musical!). It is directed by Mr. Cousineau. Synopsis: This winner of the National Playwright's Award and the ACTF Musical Theatre Award is a moving and surprisingly funny account of one man's struggle with AIDS and the reverberations of his death. The deceased functions as host and narrator, invisible among the friends and family assembled to pay him final respects. Hoping for a day when the shattered pieces of his life can come together, he leads them on a journey of shared reminiscences.
