Description:
NoMads Art Collective is seeking actors of all ages, ethnicities, and genders for their inaugural play festival "Sparks: A Ten Minute Play Laboratory". This year's theme is taboo -- what does the world tell us we are allowed to talk about? And what parts of ourselves we need to hide in order to function as a "normal" member of society?
We are seeking actors excited to experiment with form and ready to tackle sometimes intense and sensitive subject matter including sexuality, violence, and the current climate of our country in 8 challenging, taboo filled plays.
Auditions will occur September 23rd at The Theatre School at DePaul from 6 to 10pm. Auditioners will be asked to prepare 90 seconds of however they want to showcase their artistry -- whether it's a monologue, a movement piece, a song, a standup routine, or anything else, we want to see what makes you tick as an artist.
