Description:

Jackalope Theatre is holding auditions for the Chicago Premiere of Fast Company by Carla Ching, Directed by Kaiser Ahmed.

Ever since she was a kid, all Blue wanted was to be a grifter. But her mother, the legendary Mable Kwan, cut her out of the family business. Mable said Blue lacked "the gift of the grift." So Blue went to college. Took a class in game theory. Made herself into a new kind of con artist. Now Blue is staring down the barrel of the score of the decade, and everything is going wrong. She has to call her family for help. And now they'll find out who's the greatest grifter of them all.

Characters:
BLUE - Asian American female, early 20s. Strong-willed, spirited young woman trying to make it on her own as a con artist.

H - Asian American male, mid to late 20s. Trying to get out of the game, he's prone to making bad choices for the wrong reasons.

FRANCIS - Asian American late 30s. A world-famous illusionist who comes across as a mild-mannered fellow, but hides a killer instinct.

MABLE - Asian American female late 40s to early 60s. A non-traditional matriarch and a master grifter who is on top of her game, not sentimental or forgiving.
