Description:
When a controlling father, Eli, wants to keep a family tradition alive after his wife's passing, he'll need an early Christmas miracle to get his four daughters on board.
Breakdown:
Role Name | Gender | Ethnicity | Age Range | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|
Eli Reyes | Male | Any | 40-47 | Eli Reyes is the father of four daughters. He is cynical and hard headed to try and make himself believe that he’s in control of his family. Due to his wife’s passing in the year prior, he struggles with finding the right way to parent his kids through their grief without his lifelong (and more emotionally inclined) partner. He also struggles with grieving as he feels that he never had time to go through his own experience. |
Lily Reyes | Female | Any | 20-23 | Lily is the oldest of her sisters and takes on the role of the mediator in her family, or at least she does her best. She has a feeling of guilt with the death of her mother, as she was away at college and not home much to help the rest of her sisters get through this life-altering loss. Through her interactions with her family, she desires a sense of approval, for someone to finally say “we don’t blame you for not being here.” Upon her return, she is determined not to run away from her problems anymore, but she will have to work her way back into the family dynamic. |
Ivy Reyes | Female | Any | 17-19 | Ivy is second in command following Lily, and although she feels the same responsibility and care for her family, she doesn’t let it show. After her mother’s death, her cynicism and dark humor took over her whole personality as a way to avoid sincere emotion. She will take every opportunity that she has to jab at her family for being stupid, and she doesn’t hold back. She doesn’t care what anybody thinks, especially her father. |
Violet Reyes | Female | Any | 15-16 | Violet is the most middle child of all middle children world wide. She has a small social media following and takes that to mean that she is, indeed, famous and must post content for her fans. What better content to post than her dysfunctional family? Her emotional range is extensive, going from as cynical as Ivy to being more emotional like Holly or Lily, which gets her in arguments with every member of the family. Violet is, in a way, the wild card of the family because you never know which one you’re going to get. |
Holly Reyes | Female | Any | 13-14 | She’s the youngest of the Reyes clan, and the most written off. She is the one who knew her mother the least amount of time, so she feels a deep connection to her through material items. You’ll see her wearing her mother’s shirts to bed or admiring a picture of her and her mom often. Although she’s the youngest, she’s often the only clear voice of reason within the family, and she just wants to be heard. |
Kris Murphy | Male | Any | 14-15 | Kris is looking for any kind of form of family due to his lack of a family dynamic. He finds a lot of refuge in the dysfunction of the Reyes family, so he’s always happy to be at the house, even if Eli is losing his mind out of anger. Kris is one of those kids on the playground who tries a little too hard to fit in, but you don’t want to push him away because he’s a genuine kid. |
Ron Frankfurt | Male | Any | 30-35 | Ron is the kind of guy who isn’t afraid to ask thought-provoking questions that can produce incredibly personal answers when he first meets you. He’s incredibly level headed, and a sounding board for Lily. He will listen to her and often avoids mansplaining. The only person he really pushes to think harder is Eli, and he isn’t scared to face his rage. |
Angie | Female | Any | 40-45 | Angie is the kind of middle-aged woman that is a bit too obsessed with other people’s business, and it shows through her consistent faux-pas with Eli and his family. She also seems to have some form of alcohol in at least one hand at all times. |
