Description:

Any Given Monday by Bruce Graham is a very funny, very dark comedy that challenges our beliefs about right and wrong. The four person cast consists of a Jewish husband and wife, their daughter in college, and the husband's best friend. The setting for the play is Philadelphia. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script, and sides will be provided to all auditioning.

Lenny - mid to late 40's: A junior high English teacher whose personal hero is Atticus Finch. Married to Rise for over 20+ years, he is as mild mannered and predictable a person as you could meet. A cross between Wally Cox and Mr. Rogers

Micky - mid to late 40's: A hyper subway engineer. Proud of his Irish roots, he is almost the exact opposite of Lenny. When Lenny's marriage is threatened, Micky is determined to "fix it"

Risa - mid to late 40's: The alpha in her marriage to Lenny, Risa is going through many changes in her life which has resulted in her having an affair with the local suave businessman. He holds onto Jewish traditions while she spins out of control. Her husband is her rock and she holds onto the belief that he will be there for her in the end.

Sarah - early 20's: A college undergrad who is majoring in philosophy and obsessed with the holocaust. Cynical and insightful, she can clearly see why her parents are having trouble and tries to help them.

Auditions will be on Sunday November 17th and Tuesday November 19th, starting at 7 PM and will be scheduled by appointment only. Auditions will be held at Village Theatre Guild at 2S720 Park Blvd (near NW corner of Butterfield Rd. and Park Blvd) in Glen Ellyn.

Time Commitment:
The show runs from January 17th through February 8th, 2020.
