Description:

Otherworld Theatre Company is holding auditions for Generation Red, written by Alexander Utz, directed by Bec Willett. Pay is a $90 stipend for the run.

Synopsis:
The first four people to be born on Mars act out made up scenes imagining what it would be like to live on Earth. They are waiting to find out if they passed "The Test," allowing them to go outside for the first time in their lives. But as questions are raised about the people and places that surround them, it becomes clear that the outside world isn't as simple as they've imagined.

Characters:
Erica: The first person to be born on Mars. Female-identifying or Non Binary. Early 20s. Intelligent, diplomatic, open to possibilities.

Alan: The second person to be born on Mars. Male-identifying or Non Binary. Early 20s. Comfort over curiosity. Finds joy in ritual.

Trish: The third person to be born on Mars. Female-identifying or Non Binary. Early 20s. Pragmatic, cynical, stubborn. Dislikes fun for the sake of fun.

Denver: The fourth person to be born on Mars. Male-identifying or Non Binary. Early 20s. Boisterous, imaginative, easily bored

Time Commitment:
Rehearsal Dates: Starts late November /early December with breaks for holidays. 3-4 rehearsals/ week, weekday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
Tech Dates: January 12th 2020 - January 15th 2020
Preview: January 16th 2020
Performance dates: January 17th 2020 - February 2nd 2020
Strike: February 2nd 2020
