How do you get people to talk about the ugly, the boring, the ordinary? Theatre L'Acadie's mission is to provoke thought, promote discussion, and influence change through the power of live theatre.

Theatre L'Acadie is looking for non AEA-actors for their upcoming production of The Two Character Play, by Tennessee Williams, directed by Kaitlin Romero. We would like to strongly encourage performers of all ethnicities, genders, sizes and abilities to submit.

About the play:
The Two Character Play depicts the codependent relationship between sibling actors in the made up town of Bethesda. Abandoned to perform their version of The Two Character Play on repeat for eternity, the characters becoming increasingly agitated with one another as they grapple with addiction and loss of everything they hold dearest to them.

Characters:
Felice: any ethnicity, any gender, age range 20's-30's
Felice (understudy): Clare's Sibling, gender fluid/non specific actor, any ethnicity.

Clare (understudy): Felice's sibling, any gender, any ethnicity, age range 20's-30's

Auditions will be held at North Shore Baptist, 5244 N Lakewood Ave, Chicago, IL 60640

Time Commitment:
The Two Character Play will run with invited dress rehearsals and shows from March 12-29th. Thursday-Saturday at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Performances will be held at the Athenaeum Theatre, 2936 N Southport Ave, Chicago, IL 60657

Rehearsal dates: January 1- March 12, 2019 ( No Rehearsal January 13-31st)

Tech: March 8-12, 2019 Invited Dress: March 10-12, 2019

Performances: March 13th-29th

The first Saturday, there will be two performances required

Please prepare a 60-90 second contemporary monologue that best showcases your talents. For callbacks, sides will be provided.
