Village Theatre Guild is holding auditions for Daisy by Sean Devine
Go behind the scenes of a 1964 New York advertising agency when Daisy, the most controversial television commercial for a presidential political campaign was created and how we elect our leaders was forever changed.
Cast Breakdown:
Louise Brown: Female - Late 30s but age flexible - Ambitious copywriter with the advertising firm
Tony Schwartz: Male - Early 40s but age flexible - Eccentric sound archivist, media specialist, agoraphobe
Clifford Lewis: Male - Early 30s but age flexible - African-American, A White House lawyer
Bill Bernbach: Male - Early 50s but age flexible - The founder and creative director of the advertising firm, Doyle Dane Bernbach
Sid Myers: Male - Mid 30s but age flexible - An art director with the advertising firm
Aaron Ehrlich: Male - Early 40s but age flexible - Television producer with the advertising firm, excitable and nervous
Others: Male and Female - Age is flexible - Additional supporting characters or recorded voice-overs
Auditions will be held at Village Theatre Guild - 2S720 Park Blvd. (Near NW Corner of Park Blvd. and Butterfield Rd.) in Glen Ellyn, IL 60137
This is a non-equity, non-pay production. Directed by Terry Kozlowski, Produced by Renata Allelujka
Time Commitment:
Performance Dates: 12 -13 performances over the weekends from May 22 - June 13, 2020

No memorized monologues are necessary but other prepared monologues will be seen if the actor chooses to share. There will be cold readings from the script for all auditioning. All those auditioning are encouraged to provide a resume of their onstage experience when registering for auditions. Please bring a list of all potential conflicts including travel, etc. Any conflicts with the posted schedule must be discussed with the Producer and agreed to by the Director before casting can be confirmed.
