Distributed Theatre is seeking video submission for its next virtual live performance of "Ten Rules for Pairing Potato Chips": a One Act Play performed over Zoom and streamed live.
-Looking for diverse character actors with great energy, charisma, and fun personalities. -Actors need a laptop, strong internet connection, and quiet environment for rehearsals and performances.
Ten Rules for Pairing Potato Chips, by Aaron Zimmerman.
A tongue in cheek story about a potato chip sommelier who has to find the perfect potato chip pairing to save the world from the Third World War.
The characters can be played by any race or gender. Where applicable, pronouns substituted.
CAMERON CRAINE - A potato chip sommelier, known to the industry as a crispologist, one of the foremost world experts on the science of flavoring potato chips and the combination of these flavors with foods. He/She is very even tempered and analytical. Can be off-putting to other people at times with intensity and passion for his/her work. Always gearing up for the next challenge.
POTS - Cameron's part assistant, part apprentice. Very smart. He/She is quirky and affable, also quietly unsure of him/herself. Loyal and courageous.
JESSE - An undersecretary of event planning for the United States Government. No nonsense and brisk. Willing to make hard choices with mixed evidence.
GEORG - An artisan potato chip maker. Eccentric and a bit vain. Well respected in the industry.
HARPER - A bride/groom to be. Contacts Cameron for help planning the rehearsal dinner.

Rehearsals: Tuesdays and Sundays 7pm CST beginning Sunday, June 28
Performances: Friday Aug. 7 and Sat. Aug.8 @ 7:30pm, Sun. Aug. 9 @ 2:30pm
