Breakdown:
Role Name | Gender | Ethnicity | Age Range | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|
Kelly Carter | Male | Any | 21-38 | Kelly’s the guy next door. Dependable, affable, and the kind of guy you’d be happy to bring home to meet your parents or show off to friends. He’s been in a committed relationship with Johanna for over five long years. But lately he feels like he wants to be committed. In his polite, do the right thing way, he’s looking for a way out. |
Deanna Scott | Female | Any | 21-38 | She’s desperate to fit in. If something needs doing, like babysitting a sick cat or holding seats at a concert, call on Deanna. Promptness is her love language. At her core she’s a peacemaker, which isn’t always heavenly. She’s also as awkward as hell. |
Lucas Guy | Male | Any | 21-38 | A cool guy with a musician’s vibe, he’s interested in Molly, and can’t understand what went wrong between them. They were initially set up by Johanna and Kelly, thinking they’d hit it off. One month later they were done. He never intended to dedicate his life to Molly… he has trouble committing to paying his monthly electric bill. His first love is his music, but he sure would like to share the beats with someone. |
Molly Simonson | Male | Any | 21-39 | He calls it as he sees it. A man of few words. So few, he often comes off as being not that bright. But Chris knows more than most think. Why? Because he is observant. He’s also a good second if you’re in need of someone to support an idea. His personality is a lot like Joey from “Friends.” |
Anthony Roberts | Male | ambiguous | 20-38 | He is Kelly’s one phone call should he find himself in jail (and he has… because of Johanna). The guys met in college. Anthony does not like Johanna because Johanna doesn’t like him. He thinks Kelly can do better and has told him as much. |
Stacey Hines | Male | Any | 20-39 | In a word, Stacey is sensible and can see both sides of a situation. If the gang had to choose a mother figure to settle their arguments and/or make sure they play fair, it would be Stacey. She’s the mature one out of the bunch, who tends to know just what to say and when to say it. |
Johanna Reyes | Female | Hispanic | 22-39 | Latina or all ethnicities, female. Johanna can be a real piece of work. She’s self-centered, entitled, and pampered by Kelly, while being tolerated by friends. She’s been in a relationship with Kelly for five years. The way she sees it, that’s too long for him not to have put a ring on it. The lack of a gold band has caused some problems in their relationship. She’s been known to pull a Karen or two and call the cops for little things or no reason at all. But that’s the past. Any day now she’s sure her man will pop the question – or else. |
