Description:
Blank Theatre Company is seeking submissions for an external understudy for their production of She Loves Me with Book by Joe Masteroff, Music by Jerry Bock and Lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. This production will be Directed by Blank Theatre's co-artistic director Danny Kapinos with music direction by Aaron Kaplan and choreography by Tori James.
SEEKING:
1 Male-Identifying Understudy to cover:
STEVEN KODALY - mid-20s to mid-30s - A clerk at Mr Maraczek's store. Eager for a promotion and always looking for a quick romantic fling, he ruthlessly pursues what he wants and doesn't care who he leaves in his wake. (B2 - G4)
HEADWAITER - any age - Takes pride in his work, frustrated with his colleagues' lack of professionalism. Also part of the ensemble.
Covid policy - Blank Theatre Company will only be hiring fully vaccinated artists. Proof of vaccination will be required to accept an offer.
There is a $150 stipend for this production. This production is Jeff Eligible. As per the Chicago theatre standards we are disclosing that actors are expected to help with strike.
First Rehearsal: Monday, February 14, 2022.
Rehearsals: Sundays-Thursdays 7:00-10:00pm through 3/17/22
Tech: 6:00-11:00pm Tuesday - Friday 3/22/22 - 3/25/22
Rehearsals will be held at City Lit Theatre, 1020 W Bryn Mawr Ave.

Previews Saturday 3/26/22 at 7:30 PM and Sunday 3/27/22 at 3:00 PM
Opening Tuesday 3/29/22 at 7:30 PM
Performances Thursday-Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3:00pm through closing 5/1/22
This production will be performed at The Reginald Vaughn Theatre (formerly the Frontier), 1106 W. Thorndale.
