Seeking comic actors for all roles who are comfortable with parody. Style is very similar to the films Airplane and Naked Gun.
WADSWORTH, a traditional British butler in every sense: uptight, formal and contemptuous of anything that doesn’t live up to his standard. He is the driving force in the play. Ultimately, he is exposed as a perpetrator of murder. 30s – 50s. Male
YVETTE, a sexy French maid. (Also plays the REPORTER in the final scene.) Think the human form of Babette from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. 20s – 30s. Female
MISS SCARLET, a dry, sardonic D.C. madam who is more interested in secrets than sex. She is blunt and no-nonsense. Calls it as she sees it. 30s – 50s. Female
MRS. PEACOCK, the churchgoing wife of a senator. A bit batty, neurotic, and quick to hysteria. 40s – 70s. Female
MRS. WHITE, a pale, morbid, and tragic woman. Creepy and probably a murderer. 30s – 50s. Female. THIS ROLE IS PRECAST.
COLONEL MUSTARD, a puffy, pompous, dense blowhard of a military man. 40s – 60s. Male.
PROFESSOR PLUM, an academic Casanova who expects women to swoon over him. An egomaniac and very vain. 30s – 50s. Male
MR. GREEN, a timid, yet officious, rule follower. He's a bit of a klutz and awfully anxious. He has a sneezing problem, but all of these qualities are a front. He is really a secret agent with kick-ass capabilities. This role requires gymnastics and tumbling skills.
ENSEMBLE WOMAN, to play:
THE COOK, a threatening presence.
THE MOTORIST, a benign gentleman who rings the wrong doorbell.
AUXILIARY SCARLET, the back of Miss Scarlet during a scene of theatrical trickery.
AUXILIARY WADSWORTH, Wadsworth during two scenes of theatrical trickery.
SINGING TELEGRAM GIRL, a cute, perky tap dancer. AN AGENT, an FBI agent who helps to save the day. 20s – 30s. Female
ENSEMBLE MAN, to play:
MR. BODDY, a slick, James Bond-type fella. THE COP, a "Regular Joe."
AUXILIARY MUSTARD, the back of Colonel Mustard during a scene of theatrical trickery.
AUXILIARY WADSWORTH, Wadsworth during two scenes of theatrical trickery.
AN AGENT, an FBI agent who helps to save the day. 30s – 40s. Male
