The Uptown Performing Arts Center is seeking Equity and Non-Equity submissions for the role of Camae for their 2023 production of The Mountaintop by Katori Hall. Auditions will be held in-person at The Drake Theatre, 320 S Hicks St, Philadelphia PA 19102- September 16, 2022.

About The Play.
A gripping reimagination of events the night before the assassination of the civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. On April 3, 1968, after delivering one of his most memorable speeches, an exhausted Dr. King retires to his room at the Lorraine Motel while a storm rages outside. When a mysterious stranger arrives with some surprising news, King is forced to confront his destiny and his legacy to his people.

The Uptown Performing Arts Center is seeking an Africa American actress to play the role of Camae. Camae is sassy, foul mouthed, conflicted but also kind deep down. We strongly encourage submissions from all BIPOC, LGBTQ actors, age range mid 20’s.
