"Acting Up" by Will Rupert is looking for actors for filming of the upcoming web series.

Acting Up is a comedy series about searching for identity and community in your 20s. How do four friends balance family, work, queerness, and art in their day to day lives? Apparently, not that well.

Paige - Recurring Guest (4 Episodes)
she/her - African American - 25-30
Strait laced and tightly wound. Paige is the complete opposite of her sister, Parker. With her wedding approaching, she tends to be even more on edge than she usually is. Character is gay.

Peter - Recurring Guest (4 Episodes)
he/him - Any Ethnicity - 22-28
Exceedingly basic and out of touch with the queer community. Peter works in theater, but not in an exciting aspect of it. But he's really nice! That's the only word many would use to describe him. Character is gay.

Kirsten - Recurring Guest (4 Episodes)
she/her - Any Ethnicity - 30-45
Slightly unhinged, yet fully in control. Kirsten comes from money and keeps making more as a CEO of a bottled water company. She's not middle-aged, but is terrified of becoming middle-aged.

AJ - Recurring Guest (4 Episodes)
he/him - Any Ethnicity - 25-30
Suave and handsome, AJ charms the pants off of most people he meets (usually literally) He's funny and easy to volley with - classic best friend to lover in a romcom.

Juliette - Recurring Guest (4 Episodes)

Slightly older than our lead cast and over it. Smart, sly, and dry. Stoner hippie vibes. Madame Trelawney meets Joanne the Scammer.

Bailey - Recurring Guest (3 Episodes)

Headstrong and self aware. Always the first to call people out on their BS and push them to be better. Character is queer.

Emma - Recurring Guest (2 Episodes)

Butch, blunt, protective. Can't handle Parker's antics, but loves Paige too much to say anything about it. Character is gay.

Jane Doe - Recurring Guest (2 Episodes)

Pop star from Australia. All about her brand. Loves her fans (the gays). Friends with Chasten Buttigieg.

Max - Recurring Co-Star (3 Episodes)
he/him - Any Ethnicity - 20-30
His defining trait is being gay, but it's okay because he's leaning into it! Fast, funny, opportunist. His Grindr profile says "Be kind <3" followed by "No fatties".

Carney - Recurring Co-Star (3 Episodes)
She/her - Any Ethnicity - 20-25
Uppity, narcissistic, brown-noser. She knows everything about acting, despite taking a class for it. The first to correct someone in a way that doesn't actually help them.

Abby - Recurring Co-Star (2 Episodes)
she/her - Any Ethnicity - 8-12
Smart, sweet, too aware. Parker's nanny kid. She probably knows too much for her age, and Parker's not helping that.

Christopher - Guest (One Scene)
he/him - European Descent - 25-30
Looks and acts like all of the other white bread men at his talent agency. Nice, but is it fully honest? Driven and committed.

Mr. Wascher - Co-Star (One Scene) - Instead of side, improvise how you would fire someone.
he/him - European Descent - 50-60
Intense and slightly unnerving. Could be the owner of a lucrative talent agency, could also be a 1000 year old bringer of death. He has one line that scares someone into quitting their job.

Noelle - Guest (Multiple Scenes)
she/her - Any Ethnicity - 25-30
The definitive bimbo. Was literally just on Love Island. Her boobs have a Stan twitter. Can't wait to explore her new fame.

Lucas - Guest (Multiple Scenes)

Warm and authentic... or at least he seems that way! There's a deep intelligence and manipulative layer to him that he doesn't show fully, but if you look hard enough you can see it.

Though they look like pilgrims they should feel like Gen Z girls. Rapid fire thoughts from 3 rapid fire THOTs. They're really a figment of someone's imagination so they're allowed to live outside of reality.

Cool, calm, collected. Has a sexy intensity coming from him at all times. Knows how to get someone naked. Character is gay. Stage movement experience a plus.

Quick and forward. She doesn't hold back. Sometimes that bites her in the ass, but not with her friends. Character is queer. Stage movement experience a plus.

Timid and scared. Dealing with the internal conflict of his religious upbringing and his sexuality, eventually choosing religion and family. Character is queer. Stage movement experience a plus.

Possibly dumb, or possibly ignorant. No real way to tell! Always thinking about sex, always pushing buttons and boundaries. He's not the best guy, but you'd probably hook up with him again. Character is gay.

Toby - Co-Star (One Scene)
He/him - Any Ethnicity - 25-35
Annoyed, tired, semi-rude. Craving to create his own identity separate from his pop-star roommate.
