"Attention Venture Shoppers, the time is now 9:25 and your Venture store will be closing in 5 minutes." Becky and Billy hear that several times a week. This time, it's different. The store has to be ready for a big inspection, there's a huge party happening after work, and they just might have to figure out their future. Can this be done while facing the end caps of Speed Stick and getting those carts collected?
Characters:
Billy-(early-mid 20s) About to graduate, but not the greatest student. He has been working at Venture (Health and Beauty/Notions) for 5-6 years and is a hard worker who knows his shit. He actually likes his job and is seriously considering making Venture his career. He loves his girlfriend Becky, but knows she's the brains of the outfit.
Becky-(early-mid 20s) About to graduate. Straight A student. Sharp, witty, knows that Venture is just a temporary means to an end. Has been working here for 2-3 years as a cashier. She loves Billy because he is a sweetheart and they have similar senses of humor, but will not necessarily give up a promising career for him
Vince-(early-late 20s) Long time coworker of Billy (also in Health and Beauty/Notions). They get along like best buds. Vince is way more abrasive and biting in his humor and takes no shit however he is not intense, he is just a fun guy.
Lisa-(early-late 20s) Works as an operator in the office. She has been there for about 2 years. She is nice, sharp, and funny, yet slightly detached. She tends to be a little flighty. She is friends with Becky outside of Venture and they get along great.
Remi-(early 30s-late 40s) Has worked at Venture for an absurdly long time (Health and Beauty/Notions). He comes off as part Southern, part Surfer Dude, and part pothead. He knows what he is doing, but he works at his own pace. He seems to always be eating chips or snacks. Very pleasant and, at times, in his own little world.
Glynn-(late teens, very early 20s) Nice guy that everyone loves. Has been working in Health and Beauty for a year. Seemingly innocent, yet does spout some knowledge once in a while. He has a secret. Also plays Bob the pharmacist.
Diana-(early 30s-late 40s) Long time softlines manager (all clothing departments). She has been through some shit in life, but has a healthy attitude and a good sense of humor about it. Likes her job and is a dedicated employee. She is very cool with the employees and has a tendency to throw out an unexpected zinger now and then.
Paul-(late 20s-mid 40s) Manager of Health and Beauty and before that, worked Hardware/Housewares forever. Young at heart. Loves heavy metal and still uses terms like "Choice". He gets along great with his employees and is a cool dude.
Todd-(mid 20s-early 30s) Worked as a department associate for awhile and is now in training to be a Department Manager and is the assistant manager of Health and Beauty/Notions. He is a total dick who thinks he is hot shit and can boss around the department employees with impunity (he can't) however, he is not really a threat as everyone treats him like a joke.
Gladys-(early 40s-late 50s) Cashier for a few years. She is always kind of frazzled and telling stories, whether you want to hear them or not. Easily excitable and quirky.
