The Theater Lab is a friendly, collaborative-minded company and encourages performers of all backgrounds and experience to audition.
Auditions for the world premiere of the original comedy, Warden of the Mint, by award-winning playwright William Costanza, will take place Sunday, February, 26, 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. and Monday, February 27, 2023, 7:30 - 10:00 p.m. Callbacks will take place by invitation only Monday, March 13, 7:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Auditions, rehearsals, and performances will be held at:
Forest View Educational Center,
2121 S Goebbert Rd
Arlington Heights, IL
Rehearsals are scheduled to begin the week of March 19, 2023 and will generally be held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings 7:30 - 10 p.m., and Sunday afternoons 12:30 - 3:00 p.m.
Technical rehearsals will be held May 7-10 and will be mandatory for all actors.
Performances will be Thursday, May 11 (7:30), Friday, May 12 (7:30), and Saturday, May 13 (3:00 & 7:30) (Mothers Day Weekend)
Auditions will be held in groups with cold readings from the script.

To ensure a smooth audition experience, auditions will be scheduled in half hour blocks and your time slot will be provided via email after completing our online audition form at https://forms.gle/KJG4TYfFNAsy4XXP6. You will be required to provide your name, contact information, and roles you may be interested in playing (descriptions are included in the form). You'll also have the opportunity to share your resume, headshot, and any other information you'd like us to know.
After submitting your completed audition form, you will receive an email no later than Saturday, February 25, 2023 confirming your time slot and specific room location for your audition at Forest View Education Center.
