Parker Players Theater Company is excited to announce auditions for One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest by Dale Wasserman based on the novel by Ken Kesey and directed by Richard Dominick.

Callbacks will be held on April 19th from 6:30 - 9:00 pm @ McGonigals Pub in Barrington.

No Materials to Prepare: Audition will consist of conversation and discussion of script. Possible script reading.

NOTE: There is a range of contentious themes explored within this play, including, but not limited to, profanity, sexuality, suicide, murder, and death.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a DYNAMIC play which needs a DYNAMIC cast...

Cuckoo's Nest will be performed on a small stage, audience on three sides, audience sitting right in front of cast....Be aware that during the performances you may be able to tell the flavor of the Tic Tac the lady in the front row is sucking on.

No need to get into detail about the play, as we are sure most everyone is familiar with Cuckoo's Nest - but the play differs from both the novel and the movie... Be aware of that as well.

This is an intense play. Every character is important.

We at Parker Players Theatre Company look forward to seeing those who will audition.

We do not want you to come prepared with a monologue.

If we want you to read, it will be something cold from the script.

In most cases, the first round of auditions will be talking about your theatre history and about your thoughts on Cuckoo's Nest.

In other words, bring a resume and yourself.
