Description:
Bring Your Own Theatre (BYOT) is a platform for anyone and everyone to come and create live theatre with a supportive and collaborative group of talent, regardless of experience level. Our company found its roots in the living rooms of its members and has expanded to our new home at Mrs. Murphy and Sons.
At the start of every month, five writers, five directors, and a group of actors gather to create and perform five brand new plays - all in 24 hours!
All interested collaborators and artists should send an email of interest outlining your preferred role (writer, director, actor, tech, special act) to the below contact email.

Important Dates:
Pre-Show Meeting: Friday, May 12 at 7:00 pm via video link
Show: Saturday, May 13 at 7:00 pm (rehearsals starting at 12:00 pm)
Friday, May 12: We will be having our monthly pre-show meeting via video link. The meeting will be at 7:00 pm. At this meeting, we will give an overview of the process, announce the groups, and announce the theme. Groups will break off to go over consent, comfortability and collaborate about preferences for the piece.
*Writers will then have until 8:00 am, Saturday, May 13 to complete their short plays.
Saturday, May 13: All participants will meet at Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro (3905 N Lincoln Ave) at 11:00 am. From there, groups will rehearse, memorize and tech their short plays.
Doors will be at 6:30 pm, and the show will begin at 7:00 pm.
