Grand Family Foods by Kurt Peters
Setting is a grocery store in Millburg, a small town in southern Wisconsin. The town has suffered all the calamities and indignities that small towns in the Midwest have experienced in the past 50 years. The action centers around the grocery store owner's conflicting desires to, on the one hand, bail out of a losing proposition and, on the other, to continue to provide the anchor the store has been to a struggling community.
Auditions will be held via Zoom the evenings of May 10, 11, 7-10 p.m. for the following roles:
Cindy Crayton - mid to late 40s; Little League coach in Millburg. Widowed mom.
Robert Hodgson - 25; worked for Rick until he was fired for not showing up.
David Carleton - 50s; small-time attorney, life-long resident of Millburg.
Kilroy - late 60s; has no family, lives on Social Security.
