A recount of Wilson's journey from a young man into adulthood through a series of short stories. This solo performance is a heartfelt memoir and celebration of Wilson's coming of age into the legendary playwright we know and love.

AUGUST WILSON- 40s/50s, an award-winning American playwright whose work illuminated the joys andstruggles of the African-American experience in the United States through his Century Cycle.

WELCOME TO MATTESON by Inda Craig-Galván
A suburban couple hosts a welcome-to-the-neighborhood dinner party for their new neighbors - a couple recently (forcibly) relocated from Chicago's roughest housing project - and it's anything but welcoming. A dark intra-racial comedy about reverse gentrification and how we deal with the "other" when the other looks just like us.

PATRICIA GRIFFITH - 39, Female. Long-time resident of Matteson, Illinois. Maybe she deserves everything she has, but don't be the one to question her about it.

GERALD GRIFFITH - 38, Male. Patricia's husband. Loves his single malts and his wife. Despite.

REGINA BAKER - 46, Female. Newly relocated, from the newly demolished Cabrini Green housing projects. All street-sense; more book-sense than most give her credit.

COREY BAKER - 47, Male. Happily married to Regina. Cabrini born and raised. Wouldn't change any of it, but change is inevitable.

THE BLACKSiDE
Congo Square Theatre is presenting season 4 of The BLACKSiDE (previously known as Hit 'Em On The Blackside). The BLACKSiDE comprises of a series of short comedy scenes or vignettes, commonly between one to ten minutes long.

ENSEMBLE- All genders ages 18-Up. Actors with a wide range of comedic knowledge and abilities.

THE CLINIC
The Clinic, Congo Square's old-school radio melodrama Audio Series returns for a third season. The series follows the continued escapades of Dr. Latisha Bradley whose revolutionary medical discovery will change the world, as long as her nemeses - and her own heart - don't get in her way.

ENSEMBLE- All genders ages 18-Up. Casting artist for various support roles. All performances are via voice over recording.

THE FESTIVAL ON THE SQUARE
The Festival On The Square is Congo Square Theatre's annual celebration of new works. We present plays from The August Wilson New Play Initiative and The Samuel G. Roberson Next Up Fellowship as part of the festival offerings.

ENSEMBLE- All genders ages 18- Up. Based on selected plays for readings the CAST is ensemble as specific roles are pending.

9:00am-5:00pm
Auditions slots are 5 minutes each.
There will be a lunch break from 12:00pm-1:00pm

Auditions will be held at Chicago Equity Studio 557 West Randolph Street

Pay: $330/wk minimum
