Seeking a SCENIC DESIGNER for this summer's production of "Newsies"!
You'll begin ASAP with the directors to design the look of the show, then create plans to pass to the master carpenter and prop master. Most designers of our shows assist with set construction as well. There is a separate position of "Master Carpenter" that this person could also take on if that was an interest, but not required to be considered. Experience with set design, access to drafting tools, and a cooperative demenor, are all desired traits in our scenic designers. This is a paid position.
Rehearsals begin May 30th. We would be looking for this person to begin collaborating right away with the director. Build could start week of June 26.
Tech week: week of July 16th, with opening on July 21st
