Imagination Theater announces auditions for ensemble positions for the 2023/24 season. General auditions will be held on June 27th from 1-4pm.

Currently we are seeking BIPOC and/or Spanish speaking performers.

We ask for 3 days of availability in the morning / afternoon on Monday-Fridays. Rate of pay is $35 an hour for performance time and $16 an hour for travel time to and from schools, rehearsals, and meetings. Rehearsals mostly take place during the month of August. On a typical show day, we do 2 -3 performances and each performance is about an hour in length.

Imagination Theater (IT) is a company that provides diverse audiences with original, dynamic, participatory, theatrical programming that enhances well-being and creates a more civil, safe society. Imagination Theater uses a style of participatory theater which includes scripted scenes, facilitated discussions, and interactive role-play with its audiences to help them explore a variety of social/emotional situations. By exploring within the safe space of the theater, communities become empowered through the arts. IT works with all age groups, but the majority of the work is with students in grades K-8.
