Description:
Oil Lamp Theater is seeking submissions for the role of Abby U/S in its production of Ripcord by David Lindsay-Abaire (JT Nagle, Director). The show will run September 21-October 29 with performances Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings (7:30pm) and matinees on Saturdays and Sundays (3pm).
Synopsis: A senior living facility is the setting for this hilarious comedy. When cantankerous Abby is forced to share her living quarters with new-arrival Marilyn, she has no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary. A seemingly harmless bet between the old women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain hidden (Dramatists Play Service).
