Description:
Now in its 12th year, the Shattered Globe Theatre Protege Program is a free, ensemble-based theater training program. To ensure that there is no barrier to participation, the program remains free of charge.
Shattered Globe Theater and Ensemble offer a free, 10-week actor training program. This workshop series is designed to support early career theater artists in entering the professional industry more confident and empowered in their authentic voices. The cohort will participate in workshops rooted in ensemble building, movement, voice, and storytelling alongside SGT ensemble members and professional Chicago theater artists.
Shattered Globe is committed to making this training program accessible to everyone. We are actively looking to cast a diverse ensemble of theater-makers from different backgrounds.
Time Commitment: The 2023-2024 season Protege program will run September 17 to November 13 on Sundays and Mondays from 6:00-9:00 PM. Fee: This is a free actor training program with CTA fare provided.
Audition Date and Time: Application due August 8. Applicants who are selected for in person auditions will be notified by mid-August.
