GreatWorks Touring theatre is accepting submissions from non-AEA actors, all ages and ethnicities, for their upcoming Winter and Spring productions. Auditions will be held on Sunday, September 10 at the GreatWorks studio in Chicago (1803 W Byron).

GreatWorks has a roster of 12 productions for grade school and middle school audiences. The 2023/24 line-up includes adaptations of NUMBER THE STARS, LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW, and THE GIVER, a modern-dress ROMEO & JULIET, and a fast-paced history of America in 50 STATES IN 60 MINUTES, among others. BIPOC artists are especially encouraged to submit as there are a number of roles each year specifically for artists of color (if you are unable to be seen on September 10, we can accept self-taped auditions: details will be in our response to your submission).

Our performances occur during school hours, so weekday performance availability is required. Most performances are in Chicagoland, but there are occasional overnight bookings outside of the Chicago area. All roles are paid, with rehearsal stipend, and per performance rates starting at $55.
