Description:
Commercial Free follows the father and daughter legal team of Papa Harrington and Nora Harrington. Their current case: Bront Shadlowski has been fired from Focus Mechanicals on the claim that he is too old to sufficiently perform his job. Papa and Nora are fighting to get him rightfully compensated, but family issues arise when they have to confront Papa's advancing age as well. Also, tik tok is involved.
Characters:
Papa Harrington: A trial lawyer out of central casting, with an affinity for quoting theatrical plays and the classics. Male identifying. 50 - 65 years
Judge Spurney Magnince: The somewhat haughty judge presiding over Bront's case. Male identifying. 50 - 65 years
Bront Shadlowski: Salt of the earth kind of everyman, Vietnam veteran. A bit rough and uncouth, but used to hard work. Male identifying. 50 - 70 years
We are seeking non-AEA actors of all backgrounds for these positions, and strongly encourage performers of all ethnicities, sizes, and abilities to submit.
Pay: $450 Stipend

Rehearsals: Sept 9 to Oct 7, 2023 - Sundays 12pm-4pm, Mon-Thu 7:00-10:00pm (possibility of Saturday rehearsals depending on weekday rehearsal cancellation)
Tech: Oct 10th to Oct 18th, 2023
Opening Night: Oct 19th
Performances: Oct 19th to Nov 11th, 2023 - Thursdays & Fridays at 7pm

Rehearsals: Wicker Park area.
Performance Location: We are currently looking for an immersive venue in Chicago. "Commercial Free" will be running in rep with our fall immersive show. No matter what location, it will be accessible via public transportation.
Sides will be provided once the audition has been scheduled
