Description:

Big Noise Theatre is seeking 8 comedic performers (and one comedic child performer aged 10-13) who are strong movers for Big Noise Theatre's "Especially for Kids" production of DRAGONS LOVE TACOS! Specifically seeking actors with strong physical comedy skills and audience engagement skills. All actors will dance!

You know what Dragons really love? Tacos, of course! A boy and his dog are watching a TV show about dragons when they unexpectedly get caught up in the 'Dos and Don'ts' of what to serve to dragons to eat. Dragons love tacos, but if they accidentally eat spicy salsa...watch out! With the help of a narrator, a kid, and a loyal dog, audiences find out how to throw the ultimate dragon party.

Pay: Big Noise Theatre's offers a $100 stipend for this production.

All roles available! Roles include:
Person in Suit (Any age, any gender): Narrates and participates in the story. Carries a majority of the dialogue.

Boy (Male identifying, age 10-13): Our protagonist! Is taken on a wild taco adventure when a band of friendly dragons visits his house.

Leroy (Any age, any gender): Boy's faithful canine sidekick! Enjoys the mayhem. Non-speaking. Strong physical storytelling abilities.

Dragons (4 roles, any age, any gender): Our fun and frisky friends! These taco-loving creatures are excited to share their favorite food with their new friends, but when they come into contact with spicy salsa, chaos ensues! Minimal dialogue. Strong physical comedy and movement skills.

2 offstage swings (one offstage swing will cover BOY and PERSON IN SUIT and another will cover LEROY and the DRAGONS)

Callbacks will be held by invitation only and will consist of reading excerpts from the play, which will be provided in advance. Dance and movement callbacks will also occur for those being considered for BOY, LEROY, and the DRAGONS.
