Description:
Explore Theater is seeking submissions to fill an ensemble role for a school assembly performance on Oct. 27. The project is Explore U, actors performing stories in hour long performance to help students with Social & Emotional Learning scenarios: managing emotions, establishing supportive relationships, making responsible decisions, etc.
Looking for energetic, creative, clever actors with improv skills to work together to bring the stories to life. It's physical acting, some improv, interacting with students and lots of fun!
We are accepting taped submissions.
Rehearsals: Oct. 19, 23, 25 7pm- 10pm
Assembly: Oct. 27, 10:00AM at Central Middle School in Tinley Park
All rehearsals are at The Atheneum Theatre, 2936 Southport Ave, Chicago
Actors carpool to the assemblies.

Introduce yourself and explain why you're interested in this project.
Then, perform a special skill that would be appropriate and entertaining for young audiences at a school assembly. In the past, actors have recited the Pledge of Allegiance in foreign languages, juggled, done the splits, one-armed push-ups, sung opera, told jokes, split an apple in half with their bare hands, puppetry, played guitar, recited the alphabet backwards, solved the Rubic's Cube, etc.
