Description:
Seeking NON-AEA. A female-identifying or non-binary actor of color with a strong singing voice (soprano or alto) for the track of BISHOP OF ELY/TYRELL/ENSEMBLE. Especially seeking Latinx/Hispanic, Asian, Indigenous, Pacific Islander, MENASA actors.
BISHOP: Rotund man of the church. Always makes sure he is well-fed. TYRELL: A killer. Organizes the murders of the young princes. Everyone is terrified of Tyrell. Wears a see-though mask. Could be from Hades. Demonic.
These roles could be large and imposing, or the opposite-small and menacing.
The style of the production goes from beautiful poetry to extreme violence with power tools to vaudeville. NOTE: These roles have very little dialogue (little Shakespeare experience required), but the Ensemble has a constant presence throughout, so dynamic actors with a great sense of play and creativity are paramount.
