If you're looking to audition for something different, may we suggest a variety show that will give you the chance to sing, act, and/or dance with other warm-hearted, wonderful community performers.

The Village Follies is a sub chapter of Winnetka's Community House. We donate our proceeds to the Community House, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, for use in their educational and community events and programs. For over 50 years, this annual theatrical tradition has entertained thousands of audience members with its combination of songs, dances, and comedy sketches. Many generations of area community members have graced the Matz Hall stage, located in the Community House, with their talent and antics. If you want to forge new friendships and meet some talented people who enjoy "doing theatre for the fun of it", you should consider auditioning out for the Village Follies.

Details: You may audition for any or all of our performance categories. If you want to audition for singing, choose any song that showcases your voice (Accompaniment will be available if needed). If you want to audition for dance, wear comfortable clothes for movement (If you'd like to audition for tap, bring your tap shoes with you). If you'd like to audition for sketch comedy, we'll have some sides to read from.

This is a non-equity production. No headshot or resume is needed. No prior experience is required. This is a non-paying position. Rehearsals will begin January 6, 2024, and will be held at the Winnetka Community House on Saturday mornings, Sunday afternoons, and Wednesday evenings (You may not be required to attend all three time slots).
