Description:
Elgin Theatre Company announces auditions for Filumena - A Marriage Italian Style by Eduardo De Filippo, directed by Sean Hargadon. This is an open call audition. No appointment necessary. Actors will be seen in order of arrival.
Auditions will be held at First United Methodist Church, 216 E Highland Ave, Elgin on Sunday, December 10 at 6pm and Monday, December 11 at 7pm. Auditions will consist of selected sides from the script. Callbacks on December 12.
Available Roles:
Alfredo (40s-50s): Man. Trustworthy confidante and attendant to the man of the house. A comic character role.
Diana (20s): Woman. A young, snobbish, physician assistant, who has eyes on the man of the house. A comic ingenue role.
Nocella (20s-40s): Man or Woman. A confident, easygoing lawyer, who advises the man of the house. A comic character role.
Seeking actors of all races and ethnicities, gender and sexual identities, and body types.
Rehearsals begin in early January. Rehearsals run three evenings a week with occasional weekend days. The show runs February 9-25(nine performances).
