Description:
For nearly 25 years, Catharsis Productions has helped create safe and respectful communities by truly engaging conversations about stereotypes, relationships, gender norms, and community building. Through innovative programs, workshops, and consulting, we meet our audience "where they are" with content delivered in a relatable tone to challenge oppressive attitudes, shift behavior, and strive for cultural change. In 2023, we have presented over 800 live and virtual presentations to audiences primarily on college campuses and military installations. We are currently seeking Actors/Educators for multiple positions to present programming at Great Lakes Naval Station (in North Chicago) beginning in the spring, and the national tour of college campuses in the fall. The presentations utilize scripted material, audience discussion, and improvisation to educate about sexual violence prevention and bystander intervention. Our company consists of a combination of actors, educators, improvisers, military veterans, subject matter experts, and support staff.
Interviews/auditions will be held in Chicago on January 18th and January 19th 2024. Please contact kenya@catharsisproductions.com if you're unavailable on the 18th or 19 to discuss an alternative.
