Description:
Surging Films & Theatrics is looking to fill roles in their 2024 spring shows The Drowsy Chaperone and A Bronx Tale, keep performers on file for future productions, and find potential swings that are looking to get involved with our company! Local hires only (no housing or travel provided). We encourage performers of all races and ethnicities, gender and sexual identities, ages, body types, and abilities, to attend every audition.
Especially seeking African-American performers and a child singer/actor for A Bronx Tale.
All performances and most rehearsals will take place at The Edge Theater (5451 N. Broadway)
Show #1 - The Drowsy Chaperone
Rehearsals begin Mid-Late January (calendar will be provided after the first of the year)
Tech Load in March 11th - March 14th
Opens March 15th - March 30th closing
10 total performances. No double show days
(unless we sell out and add Sat matinees, additional pay if added shows)
Stipend: $300
Changeover March 31st
Show #2 - A Bronx Tale
Rehearsals begin Late January/Early Feb (calendar will be provided after the first of the year)
Tech Load in March 31st - April 3rd
Opens April 4th - April 14th
10 Total performances. 2 show Saturdays.
Stipend: $300
