Description:
Gwydion Theatre Company is casting the role of 'Sid' in our production of 'Waiting for Lefty'.
Synopsis: Waiting for Lefty is a one-act play comprised of a series of vignettes addressing the wide spread effects of economic inequality. The scenes of the play exist as memories of members of the New York Taxicab Union as they attempt to unite and form a strike.
Sid: Male, 18-25 (only accepting submissions from BIPOC actors). Member of the taxi union. In love with Florrie, his vignette surrounds the end of his relationship due to the economic hardships faced before the strike.
