"Mitigating Factors" takes a sharp look at the consequences of the six-decade battle toward cannabis reform from the perspectives of six different people. The play asks: Can community members find healing through sharing their stories, or will collaboration under a capitalistic system continue the harm?
Danton - 31, African American, Youth Leader. Your average black man that was caught in the system. Upon release he does all that he can to inspire youth to actualize their gifts and talents in order to strengthen the community
Candra - 50, African American, College Professor. As a member of one of the most educated groups in America, we witness a woman challenge a society rooted in racism and shares her wisdom with inquiring minds.
Isela - 24, Mexican American, Community Activist. A believer of voice and the power it holds.
Miguel - 34, Mexican American, Home Health Aide. An immigrant that uses his cultural background to examine his home and heal the pain.
Addison - 25, Bi-Racial, Non- Binary, Cannabis Advocate. A leader of a generation discovering the past while simultaneously laying a foundation to repair, restore and shape a better future.
Robert - 45, White, Museum Curator. Having access to identify, interpret, and display the stories of the Other, this man steps up and offers a chance of vindication for the underserved.
"Sofa King Queer" is a nostalgic pop-punk musical set in 2008 and grounded in the tensions between f***ing, family, and queer resistance to explore both the pain and hope of living authentically in the 21st century.

"Switch Hitta" is a drama-comedy about the last season for a high school softball team, packed with self-discovery, the resilience of queer friendship, and more than a few curveballs.
ECHO - A spirited, 18-year-old softball prodigy. Pitcher and Captain of the Marigold Ravens.
REYNA - A hot-headed, commanding outfielder. ECHO's childhood best friend. Vice-Captain of the Marigold Ravens. 18.
WILLOW - A talented infielder. Former Captain of the Franklin Daggers. Shortstop for the Marigold Ravens. 17-18.
QUINN - A timid, but spirited infielder. 3rd Baseman and Part-Time Manager for the Marigold Ravens. 17.
MARK - A former softball coach. WILLOW's father. Late 40s.
Pay: Between $150 - $1,000 depending on the role.
