The Factory Theater is seeking actors for both main cast and understudy roles for Die Hard for Your Luv, written by Kirk Pynchon & Mike Beyer and directed by Becca Holloway. We strongly encourage actors of all races, sizes, abilities, and gender identities to submit for any role listed as none of the characters are beholden to a specific type or gender.
It's NYE 1999. A group of sinister terrorists are holding the world's most popular boy band hostage! Unless the nations of the world hand over their vital Y2K codes by midnight, the Boyz Will B Boyz will be Boyz Will B Dead! Will the non-talented boy band member save the day? Or will the terrorists escape to their all-inclusive resort with the water ski package?
Character Type/Restrictions:
Todd - (30s to play 20s) The least talented member of Boys Will B Boyz. Left structural engineering school to be in the band and wishes for more out of life.
Meg Lawson - (30s) Security guard, krav maga expert, pregnant bad ass.
Yana Petrovian - (30s-40s) Ruthless and genius villain hell-bent on owning the world
J Swizzle - (30s to play 20s) Member of Boyz Will Be Boyz. They are the lead singer and a complete diva. Will be the first to leave the group for a solo career and acting career. (This role is currently filled but we are still looking for an understudy)
Chuckie Bones - (30s to play 20s) Member of Boyz Will Be Boyz. They are "the bad boy" of the group. Also the dumbest.
Authentic - (30s to play 20s) Member of Boyz Will Be Boyz. They are the "soulful" one. Also believes they should be the lead singer of the group.
Alyssa Tallinger - (30s to play 20s) Manager of Boyz Will B Boyz, only cares about the bottom line and what the group can do for her career.
Whitney - (30s to play 20s) Super fan of Boyz Will B Boyz. They are the hotel concierge.
Hailey - (30s to play 20s) The high-energy host of the popular entertainment news program "Hey! Talkin'!"
There will be a small ensemble of mercenaries/security guards that will double as multiple roles. We plan to utilize both internal and external understudies. There will also be a guaranteed understudy performance.
Audition Location: In Person Callbacks will be at Red Theater's space on 1020 West Bryn Mawr Avenue.
Pay Rate: $200 for main cast, $150 for understudies

Sides will be provided for most roles. Anyone auditioning for one of the members of the band will be asked to do a short improv as well as 30 seconds of a 90s song instead of a side. A capella or karaoke track are both acceptable.
