Description:
Theater Unspeakable (TU) is holding an audition for its newest project, a devised Shakespeare-based production for students in grades K-3.
This project uses Shakespeare as a jumping off point to introduce theater to young people using physical theater, puppetry and clown.
TU is seeking performers who are:
-comfortable with movement
-have the ability to portray multiple characters
-enjoy the creation of new physical-based work
Performers are asked to wear movement clothes and to be available for their entire one-hour time slot. The workshop will consist of physical games and exercises, creating original stories in groups and as individuals. We strongly encourage performers of all ethnicities, genders, sizes, and abilities to submit.
This project will be rehearsing Mondays and Tuesdays 4:00PM - 8:00 PM during February and March, with a performance in the first week of April depending on cast schedules.
WHAT: Audition for Theater Unspeakable's new Shakespeare show
WHEN: Monday February 19th
4:30 PM-5:30 PM and 5:45 PM-6:45 PM
(Please be available for the entire 1-hour session)
WHERE: The Athenaeum Center for Thought and Culture
WHAT TO PREPARE: We'll be playing with situations and text from The Tempest, Twelfth Night, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet. No need to memorize anything, but you may want to brush up on characters and story.

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM and 5:45 PM-6:45 PM

This project pays $720.
