Description:

Jon Trachtman and Leslie Arthur are out-of-work musicians who room together in New York City. To save money, Jon has been filing tax returns listing the pair as married. The day of reckoning comes when the Internal Revenue Service informs the "couple" they're going to be investigated. Leslie masquerades as a housewife, aided by Jon's fiancee, Kate. Complicating matters further, Leslie and Kate are having an affair behind Jon's back, Jon's mother drops in unexpectedly to meet her son's fiancee, and Leslie's ex-girlfriend shows up demanding to know why Leslie has changed and won't see her anymore. Like a cross between I Love Lucy and Some Like it Hot.

Harmony Dinner Theater in Hillsboro, Indiana, is seeking the following roles for Love, Sex & the I.R.S.:
Jon - 30- 40, athletic build, somewhat tall, an out-of-work musician. Roommate of Leslie. Good-looking and likable. Engaged to Kate Dennis. Self-confident, a truly nice guy who likes people, a leader, a bit of business sense, doesn't mind working a loophole.

Kate - 25-35, Jon's fiance, but is secretly having an affair with Leslie. Helps Jon & Leslie pull off their scheme to fool the I.R.S. Clever, quick on her feet. Pretty, spunky, self-assured, smart and quick witted but not sarcastic.

Connie - 25-35, Leslie's girlfriend - very chatty. Comes over to the apartment to confront Leslie about why he's been avoiding her. Arnold Grunion - A shady character, so an odd and interesting choice for a wedding officiant.

Weekly salary, housing and free meals (on show days) are provided. The theater is especially seeking many different types of actors of all ethnicities and identities who sing and dance and can play a wide age-range.
