Description:
Eclectic Full Contact Theatre is accepting submissions for Eight One Eight Two, by Rishi Chowdhary, an upcoming episode of its monthly audio drama podcast, The Half Hour Audio Hour. All rehearsals and recording will be remote and done over the internet on Zencastr.
Characters:
Santosh [Sun-Thosh]: South Asian Male, Late 30's. Born in Mombasa, Kenya. Married to Kajal. They have 2 young sons together. Has concerns about the future of his family in Kenya.
Kajal: South Asian Female, Mid 30's.. Married to Santosh. They have 2 young sons together. Enjoys gardening. Comfortable living in Kenya due to it's familiarity and having other family in Kenya.
Santosh's Father: [Referred to as Papa-Ji] South Asian Male, 70's. Walks with a wooden cane. Father of Santosh. Enjoys British Royal family gossip and Indian movies. Moved to Kenya from India (Punab) in 1928. Does not want to part with his bed - has sentimental value to him. Comfortable with his current lifestyle and living in Kenya.
Pay: $75
Rehearsals/Recording will be online via the website Zencastr. No downloading is necessary. No special equipment is necessary, merely a pair of wired headphones with mic (as simple as those used with cell phones)
Rehearsals will be 7/1 6:30-9:30, 7/8 6:30-9:30
Recording will be 7/15 6-10
