Sparked Productions is seeking 7 passionate Chicago-based musical theatre performers for a political cabaret.
"This Performance is Protest" is an hour full of political musical theater, punk, rock, and pop songs, performed in an immersive cabaret style. These songs will be repurposed to tell current American history and include artists like: Green Day, The Offspring, Hozier, boygenius, and more. Performers that are passionate about political activism and storytelling are strongly encouraged to audition. All profit for this cabaret will be donated towards Palestinian aid. Directed by Grey Sindaco.
Audition Submission:
MUST BE 21+ TO AUDITION.
32 Bar cut in the style of the show (rock, punk).
Submissions due by May 25th.
Actor Breakdown:
Any ethnicity. Any gender identity or expression. Any body type. BIPOC/Trans-Nonbinary identifying actors highly encouraged to audition.
Pay: $100 Stipend
Must be 21+ to audition.
Davenport's Piano Bar- August 2nd and 3rd at 7pm (6pm call time)
We will be rehearsing in the last week of June and all of July. One rehearsal a week will be mandatory, with a minimum of 4 rehearsals' required to perform. Rehearsals will be weekday evening and weekend afternoon depending on cast availability starting after June 15th.
