Here is a bit about the show.
Synopsis
Through every 90's New Year's Eve, a group of tight-knit twenty-somethings celebrate another year of surviving adulthood. Last laughs, flakey friends, and a secret kiss put their relationships to the test as the end of an era looms. If the world might end at midnight, will you finally reach for what you've wanted all along... or will it be too late?
Principal Characters
Joanna Moore (Mezzo/Soprano) The life of the party, the former wild child, the glue of the group. Ever the performer, Jo commands the room -- she can wrestle a smile from the most cynical cynic. She's a passionate artist who struggles to express the real things... and her best friend Natalie is the only one who can drill through the armor.
Natalie Fetterman (Soprano) Though she claims to be no-nonsense, Natalie spends a lot of time keeping her head above water. Always so quick to put the wind in your sails, she has difficulty showing up for herself when it counts... or taking a leap of faith. An aspiring travel journalist writing hotel reviews for an unpopular magazine, she's set aside her dreams for... well, actually, she's not quite sure. Her best friend Joanna is the only one who gets her.
*Leo Watson (Bari-tenor) The youngest by a couple of years; the bright-eyed, bushy-tailed puppy of the group. Leo can be most aptly described as a hopeless romantic -- particularly when it comes to Natalie. He'd say his biggest weakness is "caring too much"... and he might be right. But we just like to call him "lovably self-absorbed."
**Mike McGovern (Tenor) The oldest of the group by several years. Mr. McGovern considers himself an all-around success; he makes good money, he's in love with Joanna, and he just moved into a corner apartment. Mike is high-strung, particular... a real "my way or the highway" type. As the self-proclaimed mature one of the group, Mike is happy to dish it out as long as he doesn't have to take it. He's got all the answers.
Amy Armstrong (Alto/Mezzo) Others might say she's the odd one out, but would the odd one out keep baked potatoes in her bag "just in case"? Amy's worldliness and eccentricities give her a unique and off-kilter perspective on the people around her. Her complete lack of filter is what makes her wise. She's a citizen of the world. . . in that she no longer has a valid driver's license.
Julie Foreman (Mezzo/ Soprano) Amy's fastest friend, and the mom of the group. Julie works as a therapist, and her love and empathy for others is ever-present. She may be a ray of sunshine, but nowadays she's stretched a little thin. Sometimes she needs her husband, Scott, to remind her that it's okay to take a break and appreciate the moment. She may be the last to the party, but she brings the fun. Scott Foreman (Tenor) Leo's college roommate and best friend. Scott teaches high school theatre, inspiring the next generation of actors with a scatter-brained sensibility. What he lacks in focus and punctuality, he makes up for in enthusiasm and patience. But the one thing he'll never wait to do is tell you how much you mean to him. At the end of the day, his wife Julie calls the shots -- every actor needs a director, and Scott Foreman is no exception.
**Please note the roles of Leo and Mike have been cast, but we are looking for understudies for these roles.
