The Theater Lab, a D214 Community Education program, is excited to announce auditions for the first production of its 2025-2026 season, Fools by Neil Simon.
The Theater Lab is a friendly, collaborative-minded company and encourages performers of all backgrounds and experience to audition.
Auditions for Fools by Neil Simon will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, October 15-16, 2024, 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at the Forest View Education Center Theater.
Callbacks will take place by invitation only Friday, October 18, 2024, 7:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Auditions, rehearsals, and performances will be held at:

Please note: Due to the tight-knit nature of this troupe-like cast, all actors will be called for all rehearsals. So we are asking about your conflicts for a wider range of availability than may actually be used for rehearsals. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin the week of October 28, 2024, and run up to and including the week of the production, January 20-23, 2025. There will not be rehearsals over the Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years holidays.
While we will do our best to work around actors' conflicts, conflicts will be taken into consideration for casting with preference given to those with fewer conflicts, if necessary.
Rehearsals will be held two (2) or three (3) evenings a week and chosen from the following times: 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
***ATTENDANCE AT ALL TECHNICAL REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES, JANUARY 20-26, 2025, IS REQUIRED BY ALL ACTORS, WITH NO EXCEPTIONS. PLEASE DO NOT AUDITION IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THESE DATES.***

Please prepare a 1-2 minute modern comedic monologue.

After submitting your completed audition form, you will receive an email no later than 11:59 p.m. CDT Monday, October 14, 2024 confirming your time slot for your audition at Forest View Education Center Theater.
