Description:
Parker Players Theater Co. is seeking actor submissions for its production of Glengarry Glen Ross by David Mamet. Richard Dominick will direct. The show runs for 9 performances from February 14 - March 2. Friday, Saturday 7:30pm, Sunday 2:00pm.
GGGR is about small-time, cutthroat real estate salesmen trying to grind out a living by pushing plots of land onto reluctant buyers in a scramble for their share of the American Dream. In short, tough men in a tough business who connive, wheel and deal, cajole and strong-arm for their small piece of the action.
Shelly Levene - 50's.... A desperate man on a losing streak.
John Williamson - 30's.... Runs the office.... Not liked by the salesmen.... arrogant.
Dave Moss - 40's.... A loud-mouth, a conniver.... Quick tempered.
George Aaronow - 40's.... A follower... timid
Richard Roma - 30's..... a charmer..... smooth-talker.... Clever
James Lingk - 40's.... Meek.... Mild.... Easily sucked into a sale.
Baylen 40/50/60 - a tough Chicago detective
Auditions will be Sunday November 17 (3:00 - 6:00pm) & Monday November 18 (6:00 - 7:30pm). They will be held at the theater which is located in The Barrington 540 W Northwest Highway Barrington, IL 60010.
Compensation is a flat rate $200.
December Rehearsals:
12/ 9 - 12/12, 6:30 - 9:00pm
January/February 2025 Rehearsals:
1/7 - 2/16, 2025
(Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays 6:30 - 9:00pm)
