Calling all actors! Theatre 121 announces auditions for Groundhog Day.

Callbacks are invitation only and will be held on Wednesday, November 6 from 7:00pm-10:00pm at the Woodstock Opera House (121 W Dean St, Woodstock, IL 60098). Sign up below for your time slot. Director Tracey Lanman, assistant director Mike Frale, vocal director Cassidy Tully and choreographer Will Roberts will be casting 20-26 performers. All auditionees must be at least 18 years of age. No exceptions.
At auditions, you will sing, act and dance. Prepare 32 bars of any song from the show. (Note that you may be cut off after one minute.) Bring your sheet music for our accompanist. Those auditioning for Phil will do a very short reading and all will learn a dance from our choreographer. Wear comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes for dancing.
Characters in Groundhog Day:
Phil Conners- Vocal Range: F#2-B4, over it and everybody, a burned-out TV weatherman, resentful, entitled. Phil grows and changes throughout the course of the show and needs to also show a great deal of emotional depth and real acceptance of the ramifications of his previous behavior.
Rita Hanson - Vocal Range: F#3-E5, a TV producer, professional, down to earth, empath, but knows what she wants, and knows what she does not want even more.

Ralph - Vocal Range: G3-C#5, Punxsutawney Townie who hangs out at the local dive bar, aside from shooting cans in a field somewhere and sleeping in every day.
