PLAY and CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:
HERAkles by Kevin Blair:
HERA - the Goddess. Ageless. Mother of Gods. Wears many hats, not that she wants to, while running the amusement park.
HERAKLES - a teenager/young adult. An underdog hero. Youthful angst with a hint of hope.
PORTRAYED BY ONE ACTOR:
TICKET TAKER - a lil sleepy, a lil forgetful. A wood nymph.
FATES - a Father and his two children.
EURYSTHEUS - the King of Plumbing and Fixing.
FORTUNE TELLER - like Zoltar, the robot kind you pay for a telling.
ZEUS - The God. Ageless. Not all he's cracked up to be.
DREAD MERCHANTS by Andrew Piechota:
FRANK - Older (forties to fifties). The senior salesman. Somewhat wary of Bruce. Before he sold doomsday bunkers, he sold insurance. Covers his insecurity with a genial air. Knows how to tell a good story. Quick to give advice, even if no one asked for it. Prioritizes feeling useful over actually being useful. A dad, but not exactly "fatherly."
BRUCE - Younger (mid-twenties to early-thirties). The junior salesman. Somewhat embarrassed by Frank. Before he sold doomsday bunkers, he attended a no-name business school and hustled in real estate. Observant, persistent, and quietly ambitious. Knows how to work a prospect. Wants to be close to the center of things, and is quick to seize an opportunity. Gets impatient when others don't move fast enough for him.
JEFFREY - Of an age with Frank, but better hair, better clothes, etc. An ace salesman, or at least knows how to present himself as one. Friendly, but not a friend.
A note on ages: More important than the actual age of the performers is the ability to portray the generational gap between Frank and Bruce.
REVULVA by Samantha Hurley
FANNY - F, late 20s, a woman whose pussy is trying to kill her.
PUSSY - M, 60s-70s, not the jolly Santa Claus type of old man, but crotchety, curmudgeonly "get off my lawn" type of old man.
SILLY GOOSE 1 - 20s-30s, can be played by an actor of any race or gender expression, but plays mostly female-identifying roles. Strong character actor (GAL PAL, POST OFFICE WORKER,WAITRESS, POLICE OFFICER, LAWYER, TALK SHOW HOST, DOMINATRIX)
SILLY GOOSE 2 - 20s-30s, can be played by any race or gender expression, but plays mostly male-identifying roles aka the dudes Fanny bangs. Strong character actor. (RECEPTIONIST, MAN IN A DEEP V, MAN IN A DEEPER V, DICK WHO RAMMED INTO HER ASS, GUY FROM CONNECTICUT, MAN HOLDING A FISH, GUY HAVING A GOOD TIME AT A WEDDING, MAN WITH A DEAD DEER, SEEMINGLY NORMAL GUY, GUY WHO MIGHT BE HOMELESS, JAKE GYLLENHAAL, AUDIENCE MEMBER, A MORE HANDSOME AUDIENCE MEMBER, CHEKHOV)
A LIFE OF LUXURY by Keegon Schuett
